	Designer and Founder Hana Lang's career began, improbably, as she was preparing to attend Medical school in 1978. A chance meeting with her future husband, Pierre, just completing his Law degree at prestigious McGill, led to the pair stepping off their intended, individual career paths and, together, creating a new one - exciting, original and fresh. With Hana's design concepts and Pierre's experience in his family's fur business, Hana K's trademark concept of functional outerwear of exquisite style was established –a complete and gorgeous reinventing the concept of the coat. In 1980 Hana and Pierre opened their first showroom and factory on Seventh Avenue in New York, catering to both the retail and wholesale worlds. Respected retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue all enthusiastically introduced their clientele to Hana K's sophisticated and sleek design. In 1995 Hana K expanded its horizons and moved west. Establishing new locations in Chicago and the surrounding area. Hana K's wide variety of styles, fabrics and colors offer men and women a stylish business look by day and glamour by night, custom-tailored to each and every lifestyle. Twenty five years after that first meeting, Hana and Pierre are still dedicated to providing the utmost in exquisite, one of a kind coats.
